We are going to talk about how you can easily avoid eviction even if you’re unemployed due to the Crisis. Here at Fort Lowell Realty we’ve directly helped many of our tenants prevent eviction by zeroing out their debts to the landlords. How? By paying the landlord the rental money they need!
In the world of stimulus that has happened to businesses there’s a lot of rental assistance money floating around from the CARES act! We are tapping into government programs that will pay your tenant’s rent during this unemployment crisis. Now that’s the best property management company type of work during a crisis!
What makes this situation so great is that it doesn’t just pit you against the landlord and vice versa. It is a solution that both works for you and your landlord.
For the programs we use, tenants need the following. And this will likely be similar for most programs.
- Fill Out Form
- Need a W-9
- Can’t make over 100k
If you’re confused and/or want to make sure you qualify for these programs then much of the time there are people you can call for each separate program who are happy to walk you through the steps…but what programs out there will actually apply to you, where you live?
The FHA suggests to get this done quickly and so do we. There’s no guarantee the coffers will be refilled on this, especially ones that allow us to get back rents all the way to March. So now is the time to do it!
